I used to be a legal assistant and I can assure you that no one like Ben ever worked in any of the firms I was at. If someone would have I might not have hated my job so much, in fact I would have probably begged for all the overtime I could have gotten my hands on. Could you just imagine working for those men at K&A? You would be in a perpetual state of orgasmic bliss. *sigh*
I must say my emotions were all over the place with this book. Besides being in a constant state of arousal (your welcome honey!) I laughed, I cried, and I once was so mad that I wanted to throw my NOOK off the wall. OK well scratch that last one, the NOOK is expensive. Note to self: Buy the paperback when it comes out so I can have the supreme satisfaction of throwing that instead.
When I sent Joey some of my observations of the book she made a comment to me that it was obvious that my emotions took me for quite a ride and that it was OK as long as I thought that ride was worth it. It definitely was and then some. But that’s what an amazing story teller like Joey does right? They take you completely into the story with them making you feel as though you are living the story yourself. With Joey I’m willing to pay the ticket for that ride every time I hit the “Buy Now” button on my NOOK.
