If you really enjoy my work, the place to go is the Joey W. Hill fan forum. Why? Because you'll find direct interviews with my characters, character graphics, discussions about past, present and future releases, fan fiction, more contest opportunities, additional early peek excerpts and deleted scenes, and free vignettes featuring characters from my full length works. Some of these vignettes are novella length when all the segments are completed, and they're free!
For example, here are some of the vignettes you'll find archived out there right now:
"Taking the Gloves Off", featuring Mason and Jessica from Beloved Vampire. Jessica wants Mason to stop treating her like porcelain and be her Master in all ways - and she'll go to some outrageous lengths to accomplish her wish.
"Tyler Tied Up", featuring Marguerite and Tyler of Ice Queen/Mirror of My Soul. Marguerite has a very special birthday gift planned for Tyler...
"One Night Only" - in Vampire Queen's Servant, Lyssa mentioned that, to test his loyalty to her, she required her former servant, the serious monk Thomas, to lie with her for one night. After that she always honored his celibacy vow. This vignette gives us a glimpse of that memorable night.
"Baby Shower" - This one is a vintage vignette, one of the first I ever did. The ladies of the Nature of Desire series throw Violet of Natural Law a baby shower. And of course there's a scorching appearance by Mac at the end!
The current ongoing vignette is about David and Mina of A Witch's Beauty!
Then there are the character interviews. The forum ladies have conducted intimate and comprehensive interviews with Daegan of Vampire Mistress/Vampire Trinity, as well as Matt and Ben of the Knights of the Board Room series, and they have plans to corner even more of my heroes and put them on the hot seat.
Now, despite all these offerings, the most wonderful thing about the forum is it's overflowing with lovely folks like yourself that I'm grateful to have supporting my stories. You can choose to lurk or interact with them as much as you wish. You'll also see me flit in and out during the week, making comments here and there. There's even a special section for you to leave direct questions for me (Got a Question for Joey?)
The forum also hosts events. Soon after each release, the moderators host a "Book Club Night", where you have me for several dedicated hours to informally talk about the latest release and whatever other questions you have. So I hope you'll explore my site here, visit the forum, learn more about my stories and characters, and enjoy the heck out of doing so (smile).
A side note...if you enjoy the free vignettes, you may also want to check out the Short Stories link on the main menu. These are other short pieces that I've written over the years. You can judge whether or not my storytelling has improved any - I hope so (smile) - but regardless, I'm still very fond of these early works, which is why I like having them here to share with you as freebies.
ACCESSING THE FORUM: Even if you were a member of the old forum, you'll need to re-register at the new forum. Yes, it's an aggravation, but PLEASE don't let it stop you from re-joining, or joining for the first time! The excellent thing is the new forum is 100% owned by the forum admins, which will give them greater freedom with content and the ability to offer you all more of the things you enjoy about my work. If this is your first time joining, or you're rejoining, here's what you need to know. When you go to http://www.jwhconnection.com, click the Join button and follow the directions. There are 2-3 screens to fill out, but they take very little time. Once you complete the registration process, navigate away from the site, then come back, login, and you're all set to go.
